Big ol update --> I've been concept arting


I haven't fallen off of this project! Totally the opposite, I saw how little I really knew about making art so I've been learning to draw and paint. I've also been doing concept art and fleshing out the story & characters for the game. I probably won't upload a new build for a couple more months at least, I want to focus on getting the environments and story fleshed out. But in the mean time, here's some of the concept art, some story teasers, and an update on the Tower.

Environment rework:

i. 5 areas in the game: 

  • Upper Village: A village atop Demeter Tower that housed the greatest astronomers and oceanographers on the moon, in the age of humans -- hundreds of years ago
  • Entrance Hall: The usual entrance to Demeter Tower for hardened Diggers of generations past, it is now the only way to get deep into the Tower.
  • Sub City: The residence of diggers and inventors of Demeter Tower, who mine Refractors from deep underground.
  • Mineshafts/Quarry: A dark, forgotten place. The entrance seems sealed off for good
  • Port City: The main residential and merchant city of Demeter Tower houses the largest canals on the moon and -- in the heyday of humans -- the most anticipated Diggers' Run tournaments.
